Product Introduction

The Shelly Pro 3EM Switch Add-On is an expansion module designed to add switching capability to the Shelly Pro 3EM three-phase energy meter. While the Shelly Pro 3EM primarily monitors electricity consumption, this add-on allows the system to also control electrical loads, making it possible to automate energy usage directly from the distribution board.

The module connects directly to the Shelly Pro 3EM and provides a galvanically isolated dry-contact relay, enabling safe control of contactors and other electrical equipment such as heaters, EV chargers, or large appliances.

Installed on a DIN rail alongside the Shelly Pro 3EM, the add-on enables intelligent automation based on real-time energy data. For example, it can automatically switch devices on when solar power production is high or disconnect non-essential loads when consumption exceeds defined limits.
